6th Street

This building was originally constructed during a time when 6th Street was referred to as Pecan Street and the road was a wet crossing of Waller Creek. It served as a general store for both locals and travelers heading into Austin. Later, a bridge was constructed across Waller Creek which required all the buildings along Pecan Street to be elevated to match the new grade. This change proved beneficial for the General Store, as the original ground floor became a basement for storing dry goods. Today, the building has been renovated into a corporate office space with a sunken basement floor available for rent and a private rooftop bar and entertainment area.

Codependent

Our client wanted to build a coffee shop/bar on the ground floor of one of Austin’s tallest high-rise condominiums, The Independent. The idea was to create a space that would blend in with the existing structure of the building and become a hub for the community. Today, the Codependent serves as a popular morning and late-night spot for locals.

Urbanspace

The project started with the aim of creating a fitting retail space for Urbanspace’s Headquarters in one of the most iconic high-rises in Austin. The space would house their real estate team, interiors division, and development efforts. To add more rentable office space, a Diversakore Engineered mezzanine was constructed within the space, providing an additional 7,400 square feet.

Elder Hill Bed & Breakfast

Foursquare was fully responsible for managing the construction of this location, from the initial site development to the completion of the bed and breakfast. This involved overseeing the creation of a commercial kitchen, reception building, guest suites, and commercial swimming pool, as well as all necessary infrastructure. Additionally, Foursquare was responsible for converting the old ranch house into a day spa.
